Birth - 5th Grade "Dream Big Read!"
Registration begins May 25th!
Dream Big
Read!-Children Birth-5th Grade:
Dream Big kids will have the chance to watch internationally renowned
performers, attend informative and entertaining sessions on real-life skills
with local experts and participate in the library’s annual reading contest, of
course!!
Special Events & Performances for Dream Big participants include:

Ventriloquist Kevin Horner (June 12th);

Premier
jugglers Dean Franzen & Doug Sayers (July 5th 1:30 P.M.);

Interactive African Drumming w/Fonziba Koster (July 19th 6:30 P.M.) &

Final
Pizza Party with LoonE Lori’s Magic Puppet Show (July 27th 11:00 A.M. ).

Dream
Big Kids can also attend informational sessions on Basic Pet Care (Scott
County Humane Society), Kid’s Safety Rules (Scott County Red Cross), Making
Healthy Lunches & Snacks (Hy-Vee), and Learn All About Plants (QC Botanical
Society).

Story-time Schedule: Family Story-time, Tuesday evenings @ 6:30 pm.;
Preschool Story-time, Friday mornings @ 10:30 am. Special Story-time Guest-
Ronald McDonald @ the Family Story-time on June 26th!!

Crafts- Friday mornings @ 11:00 am.
Summer
Reading Program Registration for Dream Big! takes place at the library anytime
after May 25th.

Night kids can participate in the annual reading contest to be eligible for
the 2012 Grand Prize Drawing (August 4th).
DreamWeavers- Reading Into the Night- Adults
18 & Older.
Adults! You
are welcome to participate in the fun, too. Stop by and pick-up your reading
logs to be eligible for the Grand Prize Drawing!!
Pick-up
your SRP Game Card- read & be eligible for the Grand-prize drawing!! Game Cards
will be available @the library June 1st &
after. No registration required.
And---Don’t
forget Adult Book Discussion over the summer!!! June & July Adult Book
Discussion Group selections are: When the Killing’s Done by T.C. Boyle (June)
and A Passage to India by E.M. Forster (July).
