Book Sale Donations Policy:
”The mission of the Friends of the
LeClaire Library is to support and be an
advocate
for the LeClaire
Community
Library. Friends of the Library gratefully
accept donations of books
and other
materials. These
donations supply our
book sales, which are our major source of
income.
Due to limited work and storage
space, we ask donors to limit donations
to
items that are in sale-able condition.
Water damaged, soiled,
and mildewed
materials will not be accepted.
All donations are scanned for possible inclusion in the library collection.
If
an item is not needed in
the library collection, it is offered for sale.
GUIDELINES FOR DONATIONS:
- Magazines – current (within last year)news, car, computer, consumer
and
specialty magazines such
as food and hobbies
- NO ENCYCLOPEDIAS
- Paperback books – in excellent, good or fair condition and fairly new
- Hardback books – current interest and in excellent, good or fair condition
The Friends of the LeClaire Community Library are grateful to the members of
the
community who
donate these items. We welcome your donations and
would welcome
you as a volunteer.
