    Special Programs include:
    • Monday, June 10th at 6:00 P.M. The Dulcimer Guy, Mike Anderson:
      Best known as an outstanding dulcimer player, Mike Anderson plays the guitar, banjo, jaw harp, nose flute, bones, and is an excellent storyteller. His unique blend of music, storytelling, history, and humor has made Anderson one of the most sought after performers in the country. Join us for an evening of music and fun, sure to entertain both young and old alike!
    • Tuesday, June 18th at 1:00 P.M. Niabi Zoo:
      Stop down to see what creepy crawlers and furry friends the zoo has in store for our audience!
       
    • Thursday, June 20th:
      • 1:00 P.M. Teen Program: Build your own Terrarium!
      • 6:30 P.M. Adult Program: Screening of "Green Fire"
    • Monday, June 24th
      • 2:00 P.M. Children's Program (ages 8 and up): Crack Geodes!*:
        Just what it sounds like—stop by the library to crack open your very own geode! *This program will be restricted to ages 8 and up due to the use of tools and limited supplies. Prior registration is required, please visit the library or call us at (563)289-4242, menu option #4 to secure your spot.

    • Wednesday, June 26th 6:00 P.M. Adult Book Discussion "Forest Unseen"

  • Weekly Programs in June:
    • Wednesdays at 3pm-4pm, Crafternoons: Join us for crafting fun! All ages welcome. Check out the Summer Reading calendar to see what we’ll be making each week.
    • Friday, June 14th and Friday, June 28th at 3pm-4:30pm Lego Club: Love Legos? Challenge your building skills on  at Lego Club! Ages 6 and up recommended.
    • Storytime:
      • Family Storytime: Tuesdays at 6:30pm,
      • Toddle Time Fridays at 10:30am, Toddler-age 6 recommended.
  • Birdies for Charity: Pick up a Birdies for Charity flyer and designate the LeClaire Community Library for your charity. We will receive 100% of your donation. See the front desk for details or go to www.birdiesforcharity.com
     
  • Junk in your Trunk June 7th and 8th- If you have something to sell during LeClaire's City-Wide Garage Sales and would like to help the library, bring your car to the library (on the Wisconsin Street side) and sell your items for the library. Just back up and sell right out of your trunk!
  • ATTENTION QUILTERS! During the month of June, we are having a "Fabric Drive" to make 2 Quilts for the Library: one for the kids area and one for the Adult Reading Room. Quilt squares will be available for pickup and will need to be turned in by July 31st. Some squares cut & scrap fabric are already here to start. Finished squares must be 10”. There is a sign up sheet for volunteers at the front desk to help put the quilt together.
  • SAVE THE DATE: The Friends of the LeClaire Community Library will be hosting an Open House July 1st to celebrate our 9th Anniversary. Details coming soon.

With your LeClaire/Scott County Library card, you have access to EbscoHost research databases, a “full-text” resource can be accessed anytime you need it. There is a children’s version called Searchasaurus.

Wireless access from  Mediacom. We have 7 public computers. Sign in at the front desk.  Printing is 15 cents. Students under 16 must have a parent sign a permission form  to assure safe and responsible use.
